Terms & Conditions Surf

By booking or participating in the Blueprint: Maldives Surf Series (“the Program”), you (“the Participant”) agree to the following Terms & Conditions in full.
1. Operator & Scope
The Program is operated by Ocean Glide (“the Operator”).
These Terms & Conditions apply to all participants attending the Blueprint: Maldives Surf Series, including but not limited to surf coaching, wellness and performance sessions, breathwork education, video analysis, vessel-based transport, and all ocean activities.
2. Booking & Acceptance

A booking is confirmed only once the required deposit has been received and these Terms & Conditions have been accepted.

By submitting payment, you confirm that:
- You have read and understood these Terms
- You meet the minimum participation requirements
- You voluntarily accept all risks associated with the Program
3. Payment & Pricing
- All prices are listed in USD unless otherwise stated.
- A non-refundable deposit of USD $1,000 is required to secure your place on the Program.
- The deposit is strictly non-refundable under all circumstances, including but not limited to illness, injury, personal reasons, travel disruptions, weather events, or force majeure.
- The remaining balance must be paid by the date specified in your booking confirmation.
- Failure to pay the remaining balance by the due date may result in cancellation of your booking and forfeiture of the deposit.
4. Cancellations & Refunds (Participant-Initiated)
All cancellations must be submitted in writing.
Deposit
- The USD $1,000 deposit is non-refundable under all circumstances and represents administrative, logistical, and third-party costs incurred immediately upon booking.
60+ days before departure
- Any payments made beyond the deposit may be refunded.
30–59 days before departure
- 50% of the total trip cost is forfeited, including the deposit.
Less than 30 days before departure
- 100% of the total trip cost is forfeited.
No-shows or early departure
- No refund will be issued.
Participants are strongly advised to obtain comprehensive travel insurance.
5. Operator-Initiated Changes or Cancellation
The Operator reserves the right to modify, reschedule, or cancel the Program due to circumstances including but not limited to:
- Weather or ocean conditions
- Vessel safety or mechanical issues
- Medical emergencies
- Government restrictions or border closures
- Force majeure events
If the Program is cancelled by the Operator prior to departure, participants will receive a refund of payments made excluding non-recoverable third-party costs. The Operator is not responsible for flights, accommodation, or other travel-related expenses.
6. Travel Insurance (Mandatory)
Participants must hold valid travel insurance covering:
- Surfing and ocean activities
- Medical treatment and emergency evacuation
- Trip cancellation and interruption
- Proof of insurance may be requested prior to departure.
7. Health, Fitness & Medical Disclosure
By participating, you confirm that:
- You are physically and mentally fit for ocean-based activities
- You have disclosed all relevant medical conditions prior to departure
- You are not under the influence of drugs or excessive alcohol during activities
The Operator reserves the right to restrict or remove any participant deemed unfit or unsafe, without refund.
8. Ocean Risk Acknowledgement
You acknowledge that participation involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:
- Reef contact, sharp coral, and shallow water hazards
- Strong currents and changing surf conditions
- Marine life encounters
- Remote locations with limited or delayed medical access
- You voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation.
9. Safety & Conduct
Participants must:
- Follow all safety briefings and instructions
- Respect crew, guides, and fellow participants
- Conduct themselves responsibly on the vessel and in the ocean
Unsafe, disruptive, or unethical behavior may result in removal from activities or the Program without refund.
10. Alcohol & Substance Policy
- Participation in ocean activities under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited.
- Breaches may result in removal from activities or the Program without refund.
11. Environmental Responsibility
Participants agree to:
- Respect marine life and reef environments
- Follow ethical surf and ocean interaction guidelines
- Avoid any behavior harmful to wildlife or ecosystems
Environmental negligence may result in removal from the Program.
12. Liability Waiver & Release
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Participant releases the Operator from liability for any injury, illness, loss, damage, or expense arising from participation in the Program and accepts full personal responsibility for all activities undertaken.
13. Indemnification
The Participant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Operator from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from their actions, negligence, or breach of these Terms & Conditions.
14. Photography & Media Release
The Operator may capture photographs or video during the Program. By participating, you grant permission for such media to be used for promotional, educational, and marketing purposes unless you opt out in writing prior to departure.
15. Personal Belongings
The Operator is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings or equipment brought onboard or into the ocean.
16. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Australia, unless otherwise required by applicable international law.
17. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
18. Acceptance
By booking and participating in the Blueprint: Maldives Surf Series, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions in full.
